Drake Set to Host First Ever NBA Awards this Summer

Everyone’s favorite Canadian rapper is taking his talents to the center stage. Drake and the NBA took to twitter to officially reveal that he would be hosting the first ever NBA Awards this summer.

After a hilarious show at the ESPY’s back in 2014, many wondered if and when we would see him take that role again. Drake has played a significant role in bringing attention to the Toronto Raptors, so it’s cool to see the NBA officially integrate an undeniably entertaining persona to the league.

The NBA announced that the show will be broadcasted by TNT on June 26th, 2017 from Basketball City at Pier 36 in New York City. Awards such as the following will be presented: Kia NBA Most Valuable Player, Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, Kia NBA Sixth Man Award, Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Kia NBA Most Improved Player and the NBA Coach of the Year.
