Thanks to the Internet, connecting with people has never been easier; we’ve seen people make their case for free nuggets and even OBTAIN culinary advice from world famous chefs like Gordon Ramsay.
One student at the University of Maryland took to twitter to ask a fellow alumnus, Scott Van Pelt, for a favor.
@notthefakeSVP Hi Scott, today is the last day to donate to @WMUCSports. We would love to have you help us out: https://t.co/9067HegPcE

what do you need to be fully funded?
— Scott Van Pelt (@notthefakeSVP) April 13, 2017
We are $1255 short of our original goal, but any donation you make is appreciated

I got you. Playing golf now. Will cover this later. You're funded.

As you can see below, Mr. SVP stuck to his word and got them over their goal by 3%. It’s no surprise to anyone how expensive school can be and what comes along with it, but it goes to show that you can shoot your shot and get a helping hand if you try.
