What is a Snaplication?

What is a Snaplication?

McDonald’s is taking job applications to the next level with Snapchat.

With the ever-so-popular social media platform, they’re looking to get familiar with faces beforehand. Applying the filter feature already native to Snapchat, users will see a McDonald’s cap placed on their head along with a name badge in which they will then submit their “Snaplications.”

Although it’s only 10 seconds worth of video, McDonald’s COO, Shaun Ruming, told News.com.au, “We’re looking for that positivity, bubbly personality, someone we think would be good in a customer service role.” So far, the service is being offered in Australia, more than likely, as a test run.

Could this be the new norm in applying for jobs, or is it just a marketing gimmick? Let us know what you think down below.

  1. Really interesting concept if you ask me. I think it is very cool that you can “unlock” special snap filters. I think many companies and stores can take advantage of that.
