The Office has been off air for about four years now, but even today it’s like the show never ended. Whether it’s memes or GIFs from the Christmas episodes, the Internet has developed a true admiration for the documentary-style comedy show. Thanks to Netflix, the love and support for the show has remained strong with its on-demand episode streaming of all nine seasons.
Jenna Fischer, who plays Pam Beesly, took to twitter to poke fun at an inside joke, referencing a “ban” her character faced from Chili’s. Once the twitter account for the restaurant got in on the joke, the Internet lost control.

Chili’s announced that the “ban” on the TV character, Pam, would be lifted “effective immediately.” What was probably meant to be a simple nod to the show ended up becoming a trending topic with over 100,000 retweets and more than 350,o00 likes. Nowadays, we see more and more companies using their social media accounts to engage with their fans on a personal level, and it made a big impression in this example with fans of The Office.
