Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth Earn the Most Top-Viewed Video on YouTube

Where were you when the rise of “Gangnam Style” took the world by storm in the summer of 2012? Most of us can probably still remember it’s catchy, upbeat rhythm and dance moves after all these years. After it’s YouTube dominance of the past 5 years and almost 2.9 billion views it has finally been dethroned by Wiz Khalifa.

According to the BBC, Psy’s song broke the play counter on YouTube, causing them to update its code.

The song “See You Again” was made in made in honor of the actor Paul Walker, who passed away tragically before he could finish the filming to the Fast and Furious 7 movie in 2015. The music video to the song featuring Charlie Puth currently sits at 2,895,373,709 views and counting. Although it’s not the pop song that had children and adults dancing, it’s a meaningful song for a beloved actor to a popular movie franchise.

Not even Charlie Puth could believe this feat, as he tweeted his reaction this morning.
